Colleen has been practicing some form of yoga for more than fifteen years. Driving up Lee Road one day in the late 1990s, a “FREE YOGA” sign hanging in the window of the newly opened Atma Center caught her attention. She’s been practicing SATYANANDA YOGA® ever since.
By modifying poses early on, Colleen was able to progress more quickly in her practice than ever before. This attention to safety gave her the confidence to go deeper and she soon discovered the physical benefits of asana are really only the beginning of an authentic yoga practice.
Colleen’s desire to teach stems from the enormous impact yoga has had on every single aspect of her life. “Yoga makes the rest of my life work,” she says.
A ceramic artist living in Cleveland Heights, Colleen spends three mornings a week singing and dancing with infants/toddlers/pre-schoolers, and the adults who love them, in her Music Together classes.
