Learn about the important health benefits of balancing the autonomic nervous system, and the value of experiencing the release of deeply held tension to facilitate healing.
In this workshop we will review, learn and practice various pranayama techniques. Accompanying the breath with some supported restorative yoga postures will allow us to really experience the healing effects of the breath in this slow and nurturing class.
This is an In-studio & Online workshop. If attending online, the workshop will be held in the Back Studio.
Spend 2 hours at home, or in-studio, discovering how you can deeply relax the body, expand the breath, calm the emotions & refresh the mind.
The session will consist of gentle, floor-based poses and is suitable for all, regardless of yoga experience or current health condition.
If attending in-studio, come with 3 blankets, a yoga block if you have one, and a pillow. We are unable to loan props out at this time.

Taught by Atma Center Owner Julie Schlemmer, BS, E-RYT 500, Yoga Therapist, Reiki Master, Health Coach.
Julie is a yoga teacher, a meditation instructor, yoga therapist and health coach. In addition to her initial 200 hr training in 2005, she has two 500 hr yoga therapy trainings, which come from Integrative Yoga Therapy and Body Balance Yoga of Annapolis, MD.
She is experienced working with students living with special circumstances including cancer, MS, PD, chronic back pain, and the challenges of aging.
